I have 20 years’ experience of working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families. I hold a Psychosocial Studies with Professional Studies BA (Hons), a Social Work Master’s degree and I am also a qualified Practice Educator.
I have a wealth of experience within safeguarding and assessment, looked after children/court, MASH and independent social work. I am an experienced expert witness and I have attended court on an extensive basis to give evidence on complex cases.
The AnAID Empowerment social work assessment and consultancy service is child focused and always has the child’s best interests at the fore. My work with parents aims to empower them to make the necessary sustainable changes particularly through the child protection process or when faced with court proceedings. Where possible the aim is to keep families together by helping people to change their family narrative.
All practice is evidence based with clear recommendations which consider family needs and local resources. Adherence to timescales is always a priority.
